Dear Shell Point Resident,
I am so pleased to offer you the Academy brochure for this current semester – an opportunity for lifelong learning right in your own community.
We are so proud of the immense contribution made by the residents of Shell Point who teach, share and facilitate, on a voluntary basis. The wealth of their experience, expertise and accomplishment is equaled only by the generosity of spirit in which the knowledge is shared.
Since our residents share their knowledge on a voluntary basis, our residents have ample opportunity to learn without charge!
Please see the Registration Form for information on classes that require registration, either because of class size restrictions, or because we are bringing in an instructor who charges.
In addition to leading presentations, residents contribute to the success of the Academy by serving a two year term on the Academy Advisory Board, and resident Academy Hosts greet and facilitate at presentations, and distribute evaluation forms, Hospitality Volunteers help to serve food and beverages.
My hope is that you will enjoy frequent participation as a learner. If you have suggestions for topics, or if you are interested in giving a presentation, please give me a call.
If you would like to participate in any way, I look forward to hearing from you.
And, I look forward to seeing you in an Academy class soon!
Teri Kollath
Manager of the Academy of Life Long Learning, and Volunteer Services
