Three ladies sat in a room one day
by Yvonne Schneff
Three ladies sat in a room one day
discussing their wrinkles and fat.
The conversation was comical,
depending on which chair you sat.
Now, chair #1 tried on a new dress
but was troubled by the short sleeves.
“It shows the wrinkles on my arms, (she says)
but at least the dress covers my knees.”
Chair #3 grabbed her arm and said,
“I have to cover this fat!”
Chair #1 laughed and exclaimed,
“Do you think I could have some of that?”
When Chair # 1 had to leave the room
to try on another new dress,
then Chair #2 said, “I tried on that dress
but here’s where it caused me some stress;
My arms are shaped funny, the sleeves were too short
and the shoulder seam didn’t fit.”
Now chair # 3 couldn’t believe these two
and laughed till she thought she would split!
She had always admired these ladies
and thought that their troubles were few.
In fact, she would probably give anything
to look like either one of these two.
So, no matter what size or shape, my friend,
whether wrinkles, dimples or fat,
We never seem to be happy;
I learned that from this little chat.
